Frequently Asked Questions
Here at Invoice Clarity, we want to provide you the very best invoicing system to save you time and money. The answers to the questions below outline what we see as fundamentally important in the creation of an invoicing system: Safety, Security and Speed.
Where is my data held and is it secure?
Your data is held at a state of the art data centre and is automatically backed up every night, so you don't have to worry.
What if I accidently delete something, can I get it back?
Nothing is ever actually deleted. Remember, Invoice Clarity behaves like an email system-you can always go to your deleted folder and undelete it, just as you would the recycle bin on your PC/Mac desktop.
Can I import my client data?
Yes, we can import either Excel 2003/2007/csv files or Outlook/Google contacts.
Do I need a super fast internet connection for it to work well?
No. We have used the latest technology for Invoice Clarity to work over slower links, so you don’t need to make any changes to yours. Wherever you will be using your laptop, there’s no need to worry whether the connection will be fast enough to support your online invoicing.
Why did we choose the pricing model?
Well you can try it for free, then once you have decided you like us we then grow with you
How does the contract work is there any lock in?
No, we run a monthly contract which can be cancelled at any time.
Can I print my invoices?
Yes, the normal browser printing works well.
When a new version of Invoice Clarity comes out, will I have to pay more to upgrade?
No, when you join you will get FREE upgrades for life.
Can I customise my billing to my brand?
Yes! First as part of your overall branding you can upload your company logo. This will appear for all users and clients on invoices and quotations etc...
You may customise the content of the email with things like the clients company name and login details for the following:
Can I share documents with other members of the team?
Yes you can, you can also choose who gets to see what files are uploaded.
- When an invoice is sent.
- When a client is invited to login, so that they can view and pay their invoices.
- When a user is invited to login.
- When a payment is made by a client.
- Any late payments (there are three dates by default 30, 60 and 90 days.)
If I have any questions how do I get support and does it cost anything?
Yes there is support 8:00am to 6:00pm GMT, and it’s free using an free phone number. And now for the bonus...you will be talking to a real person, from this country too!
What browsers do we support?
We support all of the following:
- Firefox 2.x, 3.x ( Macs, Pc, Linux )
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, 8+ ( Pc )
- Google Chrome
- Netscape 9+ (Macs, Pc, Linux )
- Opera 9+ ( Macs, Pc, Linux )
- Safari 3.0+ ( Macs, Pc, Linux ).*
* Version 2.0 of Safari and IE 6 has known security issues that we do not wish to support. In addition, V 3.0 and V 8.0 is faster.
This is clearly an exhaustive list, but does not include older browsers as they tend to be more susceptible to bugs and can have holes in their security, creating unnecessary issues. They also have poorer Secure Socket Layer (SSL) support.
Should I decide not to use Invoice Clarity, can I get my data out?
Yes. We don't lock you in. Your data is too important to your business and ethically, we do not believe in ‘hooking you in’ to something you are not 100% happy with.
Where are my credit card details held?
We do not store your credit card details, these are held by our payment provider only. After careful consideration, we have chosen Barclays Plc. We only hold the card expiry date so that we can remind you to update your credit card details on the system so that payments don't get declined.
Are there any limits to what Invoice Clarity can manage?
No, we have designed Invoice Clarity to be able to handle any number of clients, users and invoices.
Is it possible to see a summary of what is happening to my business?
Yes there is an icon called ‘spotlight’ on the home page that allows you to see the following:
- When an invoice is created, a payment made or disputed.
- When a client or user is created.
- When a quotation is accepted or replied to.
In addition to this, on the home page, there is a graph showing invoices sent, paid and outstanding for the last 3 months. Also visible is any future revenue that will be created when any recurring invoices get paid.
How do new changes or features become implemented?
Through YOU the customer! We want to hear your feedback. Once you log on, we provide a feedback option on every page so you can tell us what you think, good or bad. Our system is constantly evolving and YOU are the catalyst in making this happen. Don’t forget, you benefit from the evolution process for free. All the more reason to tell us what you think!
